TOO HARD TO BREAK1 min read

My pain goes down to point

And I feel nothing

My heart bleeds

But it clots too fast

My feelings bounce

Like first harmattan rains on desert floors

But they flee like birds migrating to unknown lands.

Sometimes my soul cries with such violence

I cannot understand how my wails depart

I feel the pain should last longer

I want to be broken

I want to see pity in your eyes

But my ego will not permit me to be so weak.

I want to cry when I cry

There is too much strength in my weaknesses

Because in each tear that falls I know I am building my endurance

Because I am strong.
