How to Make Your Embroidery Outfit Work for You

Fashion never fades!!!

Every year, we get to see designers wowing crowds on the runway with immaculate designs of the 70s – 90s with a little bit of twist and modern day styles incorporated into it.

The embroidery has become an “IT” thing in today’s latest style trends which can even be seen on sneakers and basically just anything wearable for humans. It’s a beautiful thing but my preference would be on clothing and not on sneakers as it looks extravagant. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m not saying it doesn’t look good or being extravagant is wrong. But for me, I love simplicity as long as it isn’t boring.

With an embroidery outfit, here are a few places I think it can be worn to. The shirt dress embroidery can be worn to a barbeque, the beach, or a cocktail party. It can be worn/paired with gladiator sandals, a pair of canvas or a beautiful slide-on or slippers. Oh when I mean slippers, I’m not referring to your typical every day in-house slippers but rather the stylish ones you can wear out. Shirt dresses are most fitting for slim and curvy women.

For larger bellies, I advise the use of a waist trainer or Spanx so as to accentuate the shape of the wearer making the tummy invincible in the dress and giving the wearer an astonishing look.

The shirt embroidery can also be worn for a night out with the ladies for a drink. With such an outing, I will recommend strapped high heel sandals, gladiator high heel sandals or a pointed toe high heel or court heel shoes.

In accessorising such an outfit, since the dress already has an embroidery (which is a flowery design) on, I would prefer using a small piece of gold or silver necklace, a choker. One can decide not to go with one. The earrings worn will be determined by the hairstyle.

Should I, for instance, have braids on like a cornrow, I would go for the round hoops earring. For a weave-on that totally covered my ears, I would hold it to a high bun and wear just a little piece of earring.

With regards to the accessory to use on the wrist, since most shirt dresses have long sleeves I reckon just a wristwatch that says classy or a bracelet in place of the watch.
